I learned this first hand. And it changed by life.

I was a few years into my career and was making $65,000. Fresh out of college, I thought I hit the jackpot, until I found out a colleague of mine, with the same title and job description was making $80,000. I felt I was being taken advantage of and I was upset, especially because my colleague was a man. Because I knew we had the same qualifications and years of experience I knew it was because my resume didn't accurately reflect my strengths and my ability to lead my team.

 

So I began to immerse myself into studying and researching the laws of resume building. I learned the importance of keyword-optimization, ATS Systems and reached out to all the top recruiters in New York City to understand what employers are looking for when a resume comes across their desks. After sourcing the most powerful keywords and creating the most targeted designs, I was ready. Armed with an arsenal of life-changing information that I knew no employer could ignore.

 

So applied to 5 jobs, and within 3 weeks, I received interviews for all 5 jobs. I interviewed and accepted an offer to my dream job. And for the three years I was there, I loved it. But I had a bigger mission.

 

 

I wanted to help other women get their seat at the table.
